Course Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the Nature of Stress:
- Define stress and identify its different types (Acute, Episodic Acute, Chronic).
- Explain the physiological mechanisms of the stress response, including the fight-or-flight mechanism.
- Identify Causes and Effects of Stress:
- Recognize environmental, psychological, and occupational factors that contribute to stress.
- Describe the physical, emotional, and behavioral symptoms and effects of stress.
- Apply Stress Management Techniques:
- Develop self-awareness by identifying personal stress triggers and using stress assessment tools.
- Implement cognitive-behavioral techniques such as cognitive restructuring and positive thinking to manage stress.
- Practice relaxation techniques including deep breathing exercises, progressive muscle relaxation, and visualization.
- Incorporate physical activity and healthy eating habits to reduce stress.
- Utilize time management and organizational strategies such as prioritization, delegation, and time blocking.
- Prevent Burnout:
- Understand the definition, stages, and causes of burnout, and differentiate it from stress.
- Recognize early warning signs and symptoms of burnout, including physical and emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishment.
- Develop strategies to establish work-life balance, set realistic goals and boundaries, seek social support, and engage in enjoyable activities to prevent burnout.
- Build Resilience:
- Define resilience and understand its key characteristics and benefits.
- Develop a growth mindset by embracing challenges and learning from failures.
- Enhance emotional intelligence by understanding and managing emotions and building empathy and relationship management skills.
- Identify and utilize support systems and resources, including building a support network and seeking professional help and counseling.
- Apply Practical Strategies:
- Analyze case studies and real-life examples to understand stress and burnout scenarios.
- Participate in group discussions and role-playing to practice stress management and burnout prevention techniques.
- Create a personal action plan for stress management and burnout prevention, setting personal goals and strategies for implementation.
General Notes
GENERAL NOTES
i. The clients have many options on where they would wish to have the training
ii. The client should communicate their preferred training venue at least seven days before the training date failure to which the training shall take place in Nairobi.
iii. This course is delivered by our seasoned trainers who have vast experience as expert professionals in the respective fields of practice. The course is taught through a mix of practical activities, theory, group works and case studies.
iii. Training manuals and additional reference materials are provided to the participants.
iv. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be issued with a Chania finance consultancy certificate.
v. The onsite training fee covers tuition fees, training materials, tea at 10am, lunch, tea at 4pm, training venue and a certificate on completion. Accommodation and travel may be arranged for our participants upon request.
vi. The online training fee covers tuition fees, training materials, and a certificate on completion.
