Description

Course Objective:

The primary objective of this course is to equip academic leaders with the advanced knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to effectively lead and manage within the complex and evolving environment of higher education. Participants will explore key leadership theories, strategic management practices, and the integration of technology in academic leadership. By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand and Apply Leadership Theories: Gain a deep understanding of various leadership theories and styles, and learn how to apply them effectively in the academic context to inspire and guide faculty, staff, and students.
  2. Develop and Implement Strategic Plans: Master the process of strategic planning and visioning within higher education institutions, aligning goals with institutional priorities, and managing change to achieve long-term success.
  3. Navigate the Academic Governance and Policy Environment: Acquire the skills to effectively navigate university governance structures, develop and implement academic policies, and ensure academic quality and standards through accreditation and continuous improvement.
  4. Integrate Technology in Leadership and Management: Learn how to leverage technology for enhanced decision-making, communication, and collaboration, as well as how to manage online and blended learning environments and ensure cybersecurity and data management in higher education.
  5. Enhance Professional Development and Leadership Capabilities: Foster a commitment to lifelong learning and professional development, understanding emerging trends in higher education leadership, and preparing to address future challenges and opportunities in the academic environment.


General Notes

GENERAL NOTES
i.   The clients have many options on where they would wish to have the training
ii. The client should communicate their preferred training venue at least seven days before the training date failure to which the training shall take place in Nairobi.
iii. This course is delivered by our seasoned trainers who have vast experience as expert professionals in the respective fields of practice. The course is taught through a mix of practical activities, theory, group works and case studies.
iii. Training manuals and additional reference materials are provided to the participants.
iv. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be issued with a Chania finance consultancy certificate.
v.   The onsite training fee covers tuition fees, training materials, tea at 10am, lunch, tea at 4pm, training venue and a certificate on completion. Accommodation and travel may be arranged for our participants upon request.
vi.   The online training fee covers tuition fees, training materials, and a certificate on completion.
